DSM ECU Repairs

I've been replacing DSM ECU capacitors for about 2 years now, with excellent results. I can do the basic capacitor replacement, and can repair mild damage from capacitor leakage. I cannot, however, repair major damage to the ECU, as I do not have spare dead ECUs to get parts from, nor do I (unfortunately) have the schematics for the ECU to figure out individual component's values. NOTE that I only do repairs on DSM ECUs, I do not work on any other ECUs.

I charge $30 (ask about the $25 discounted price for certain payment types) plus return shipping to replace the ECU caps. If there is damage to the ECU motherboard from capacitor leakage, the price may be higher. I am able to repair minor board damage from leakage by replacing the burnt traces with hard wire.

If you want me to replace your ECU caps, email me, and I will give you my address. Enclose a check/Money Order for $30 plus return shipping charges. Due to the USPS zone rates now in effect, the shipping costs can vary widely. Unless you want to include $55, I suggest you weigh the box at the Post Office and find out the exact shipping costs TO me and FROM me remember to include insurace), then include a payment for $30 (unless you qualify for the $25 discounted price) PLUS the FROM shipping cost. Make sure to enclose a piece of paper with your return shipping address and your email address, so I can email you if there are any problems with your ECU.

If you have an EPROM ECU, and want it socketed for EPROM mods (see Keydiver's site) I can do this for an additional $25 while doing the cap replacement.

Note that I can now take payments through PayPal.com - this will allow you to pay by credit card if you must. See the PayPal site for details.
