I have been porting parts for people in order to pay off some major debt on the rebuild of my 3 DSMs. If you are interested in having me port something for you, fill out this form to get my shipping address.
When you send parts to be ported, I need specifics on your car setup - I need to know what exhaust manifold, turbo, and O2 housings you are using if you don't send all 3, and I need to know what the inlet size is on your downpipe for O2 housing porting (most 3" downpipes still have a 2.5" inlet on them), especially if you are still using a stock downpipe.
Porting costs do not include return shipping costs. I can send parts back via USPS, UPS, or Fedex, at whatever speed you want, as long as you pay for it. I will always try to port items the day or the day after I get them, but in some cases that may not be possible. If you are including payment in with the parts, please include an extra $5-10 over the cost for shipping to me. I have had several parts show up in mangled boxes, and have had to pack them in new heavier boxes to send them back, and have had to eat the extra shipping costs. If you send extra, I will return any extra money left over after shipping if you wish.
Note on the below prices, the first price is for PayPal creditcard funded payments, the second price is for the "cash discount" (MO, check, PayPal balance or PayPal EFT payment). If you send a personal check, there will be a 2 week delay in returning the parts while I wait for the check to clear, so I really don't recommend paying by check unless you can afford a long wait.
| Item | Work Done | Cost (CC/Cash) |
|---|---|---|
| Exhaust manifold, 6cm | Port and radius exit to 6cm for better flow (requires removing ring gasket). Smooth runner inlets. Port #2 runner for better flow. Thin down divider. Remove any sharp external casting flash. | $45/$40 |
| Exhaust manifold, 7cm | Port and radius exit to 7cm for better flow (requires 7cm gasket, removing ring gasket, this only works if you are getting the turbine housing ported to 7cm at the same time). Smooth runner inlets. Port #2 runner for better flow. Thin down divider. Remove any sharp external casting flash. | $66/$60 |
| 6cm 14B turbine housing | Port and smooth turbine throat to 6cm for better flow (requires removing stock ring gasket). Port wastegate hole to maximum size possible to minimize boost creep. Port wastegate chamber to redirect exhaust flow out of the wastegate hole better (this only works well if you are getting the O2 housing ported at the same time). Slightly port turbine exit for better flow. | $66/$60 |
| 6cm 14B turbine housing to 7cm | Port and smooth turbine throat to 7cm for better flow (requires removing stock ring gasket, only works if you have exhaust manifold ported to 7cm). Port wastegate hole to maximum size possible to minimize boost creep. Port wastegate chamber to redirect exhaust flow out of the wastegate hole better (this only works well if you are getting the O2 housing ported at the same time). Slightly port turbine exit for better flow. | $88/$80 |
| 7cm 14B/16G turbine housing | Port and smooth turbine throat to 7cm for better flow (requires 7cm gasket, removing ring gasket). Port wastegate hole to maximum size possible to minimize boost creep. Port wastegate chamber to redirect exhaust flow out of the wastegate hole better (this only works well if you are getting the O2 housing ported at the same time). Slightly port turbine exit for better flow. | $66/$60 |
| Turbine housing to match Evo3 O2 housing | This cost is on top of other turbine housing costs. Port turbine exit to match Evo3 O2 housing. The turbine housing needs to be enlarged at least 1/2", and it takes a lot of grinding, so I charge extra for this port matching. I will need the gasket that goes between the turbine housing and Evo3 O2 housing, as it requires slotting of the gasket bolt holes to line up properly if you are using a stock gasket. It is highly recommended that you buy the Evo3 gasket or the custom gasket from RRE, as they have more meat to them to allow matching the gasket to the parts while still leaving enough gasket surface to seal properly. | $45/$40 |
| Turbine housing flapper valve install/port | If you buy a 34mm wastegate flapper valve from TRE or Forced Performance, I can port the wastegate hole to match the larger valve and install the valve. | $34/$30 |
| Compressor housing | Port and smooth inlet and outlet for better flow (requires upgraded outlet pipe, like RRE's Jpipe). You must send your upgraded outlet pipe with the turbo, so I can port the housing to match it. I CANNOT do this porting if you don't send the upgraded pipe you will be using. | $34/$30 |
| O2 housing | Port wastegate runner entrance to redirect exhaust flow out of the wastegate hole better (this only works well if you are getting the turbine housing ported at the same time). Port wastegate runner exit for max flow. Bellport turbine exit for better flow (I need to know what size downpipe you are using for the exit porting). Remove any sharp external casting flash. | $55/$50 |
| 7cm SS exhman-to-turbo gasket | This is necessary when porting to 7cm, unless you pay a machine shop to machine both the exhaust manifold and turbine housing mating surfaces completely flat. | See RRE |
If I have ported something for you, and you are happy with it (or not), I ask that you post to the Talon Digest with your feedback. That's my only advertising to date, and if you are happy with my work, let others know, so they know to send parts my way.
