Three first generation Talons

Eagle Talon TSi AWD

This area will have information about my favorite car, the Eagle Talon TSi AWD, a nicely proportioned car, using a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4 cyl engine to produce 195-210 hp stock. Many people on the WWW Talon List push their cars up to 350 hp without modifying the shortblock at all, and a brave few have pushed theirs' to 450 hp, and climbing.

I highly recommend anyone wishing information on DSMs go the the Talon Page at http://www.dsm.org.

The great advantage I see to them is that the AWD versions are very stable in any weather, and with proper snow tires in the winter, can even handle pure ice without any stress. They also work great in the rain, with no wheelspin, and happen to work extremely well in dry weather.

While a bit too expensive new, at close to $25K, a used one can be very affordable, with 50-60K mile cars often going for $8000. I have yet to hear of a properly maintained engine/car not lasting well past 100K miles.
