The DSM Wheel/Tire Fitment Guide

17x8 Borbet Type M Wheels with 235/45-17 Dunlop D40M2 Tires

These are known wheel sizes that will fit 2G DSM's of the type listed. There may be some variation between AWD and FWD, but all FWD should be the same.

As you can see, this page needs YOUR input. If you know of a tire/wheel combination that does or does not fit a 2G, let me know! There is some difference in the rear suspension between FWD and AWD, so the fit of one does not guarantee the combo will fit on the other. Remember that AWD cars must run the same diameter tire all around, and preferably the same size rim width, as it affects the shape of the mounted tire.

Some Mazdas also share our bolt pattern and centerbore, including the RX-7(93+), Ford Probe/MX-6(93+), and Millennia (these need confirmation and offset data if you can help, but are based on TSW's and Weld Racing's application guides). The 5x4.5" bolt pattern is pretty common, and other rims may fit. Most aftermarket rims use a centering ring to determine the centerbore, so an aftermarket rim with the correct bolt pattern and offset would fit if you ordered the correct centering ring!

Tire will rub rear fender flange when the car is heavily loaded or using lowering springs. Can be corrected by rolling fender flange. These are my street rims.

Stock 3000GT/Stealth wheels & tires. Close to suspension, no rubbing even during autox.

Tire is very close to suspension, but no rubbing.

No problems.

Yes, the do fit! (sort or) As these are shorter tires than stock, the front suspension does not have enough travel to rub at full bump. In the rear, you'll want some stiff springs to keep them from rubbing. Shouldn't be a problem on autox courses, but maybe on the street. This is the size I use for autox.

+40mm?

Stock 2G RX-7 Wheels. The centerbore is too small (59.7mm), and must be machined out.

16x8

+50mm

Stock 3G RX-7 Wheels. These would need a spacer to get the offset right, but may fit with 225's. The centerbore is correct.

16&17

>46mm

Stock 300ZX Wheels. Fronts are 16x7 and rears are 16x8 (optional rims were 17x8/17x9.5). The centerbore is 66.7mm (1mm too small). Requires a spacer.

17x6.5

 205/50-17

???

Konig Impact. Aftermarket rims off of a Nissan Maxima. Centerbore and offset seem to be perfect. No rubbing.
